On the Topic of Contraceptives

I honestly feel like I can handle having an STD, but pregnancy? I will spiral. I hate abortion procedures, and I will never, under any condition, willingly carry a child to term. Country dey burn, but let’s talk contraceptive options for women.

Before I start, let me just say I’m clearly one of Jesus’ favorites because hormonal contraceptives don’t affect me; at least the ones I’ve tried. I currently use condoms, but just in case life wants to be funny, I’m also on quarterly injectables (A baby will not catch me, Amen!). They’ve worked, and they keep working exactly as designed.

Anyway, I read something last week that said if you’re sexually active and not on contraception, then you’re actually trying to get pregnant. And honestly? Facts. Pull-and-pray is not a contraceptive method, ladies. He’s probably infertile or the universe hasn’t reasoned your matter yet.

I’m assuming we all know the options available to us. But if not… I guess I’ll have to write about it next.
