Welcome to My Period & I

So why are we here?

Okay, Now Let’s Be Serious.

We are living in a world that silences menstruation. Condemns it, vilifies it, calls it dirty.
Yet, it’s the one thing that secures new life. The very thing that ensures humanity continues is treated like it’s something to hide.

Let that sink in. The thing that is a by-product of menstruation wants you to feel shame for having it.

But that’s not why we’re here. We are not here to continue the condemnation.
We’re here to stay informed. To talk. To laugh. To unlearn and relearn. To be real.

Every Period Experience is Different

Let’s get one thing straight: there’s no one-size-fits-all period story.

Your cramps are not my cramps.
Your flow isn’t my flow.
Even your own period can change its tune from one season to the next.

Case in point:
Once upon a time, my period announced its arrival with diarrhea.
Now? Intense constipation. And suddenly… I miss the days of old.

We’re Also Here to Bust Myths

We’re aspiring period myth-busters.
Because yes, someone once asked me if it’s true that some women bleed from their palms. The palms of their hands!

Absurd? Maybe.
But here’s the thing: we’re all doing life for the first time.
Some of us are new here, and even the ones who’ve been around for a while?
We still don’t know everything.

Period education hasn’t exactly been front and center. So let’s extend grace, stay curious, and build a space where no question is too naive, too weird, too gross, or too “out there.”

This is a Judgment-Free Zone.

Whether you use tampons or pads, bleed for three days or ten, love your period or dread it, you’re welcome here!

We’re Just Girls Figuring It Out

That’s really what My Period & I is about.
Girls (and anyone who’s curious) figuring out their bodies in every phase:
Pre-menstrual. Menstrual. Post-menstrual. Perimenopausal. Menopausal.

With hormones raging (or ghosting), moods swinging, bodies changing, excruciatingly painful cramps and symptoms that don’t always follow a script, we’re trying to make sense of it all.

Together.

Welcome to the space. Stay a while. Ask questions. Share stories. Cry. Laugh. Learn. And remind yourself you’re not alone in this.

We’ve got cramps.
We’ve got heat pads.
We’ve got each other
